Meet the Artist
Jamie Duggin

Jamie is a primarily self directed visual artist. 

Art has always been a hobby from a young child. He often found himself drawing in workbooks at school and gravitated towards it over other subjects.

At 13 years old he started seeing his potential as his drawing skills improved and he fell in love with the craft.

At 14 he made an Instagram page known as 'Distinkd Art' where he started posting his artworks and designs. He started creating fan-art images of music artists that started to pick up his recognition.

Since then in 2021 the concept of LUCID ROOTS was born. 

A phrase that dawned on him one day which captures the essence of his artistic themes. 

'Lucid' meaning 'to become aware' or conscious from being in a dream state.

'Roots' symbolizing the core of where we came from as humans and our place of belonging in nature.

Now he has completed various art commissions for clients internationally.

From clothing designs, to posters, portraits and custom paintings as his artistic career continues to develop.

His preferred mediums are fine liner pens with a source of color ranging from watercolors, pencil, and alcohol pens. He has also honed his skills for painting with acrylics.

Often combining realistic elements with imaginative surreal concepts that spark a sense of wonder and aim to provoke new thoughts and perspectives on the world.
